From order to installation

Install your wallpaper in five simple steps.

Unroll the wallpaper and separate the panels

Check the design and installation order. Each panel is numbered from left to right, starting with Panel 1.
Note: Lay out the panels first to check the image alignment before installation. The wallpaper can be applied to any interior wall and is easy to install, allowing the panels to be adjusted during application. BEUDIS recommends using only non-woven (vlies) wallpaper adhesive. For best results, carefully follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
Applying the wallpaper

Prepare the adhesive — Use the adhesive supplied with the wallpaper or any commercially available non-woven (vlies) wallpaper adhesive. Mix it with cold water according to the proportions specified on the packaging.
Mark the starting point — As walls are not always perfectly straight or perpendicular, use a tape measure and spirit level to mark where the first panel will be installed.
Apply the adhesive — Apply the adhesive evenly to the wall using a roller or brush, covering the area marked in the previous step.
Installing the first panel

Start by positioning the top of the panel, ensuring it is perfectly straight. Smooth the wallpaper using a sponge or smoothing roller, working from the centre outward to remove any air bubbles.
Trim the excess wallpaper at the top and bottom using a sharp utility knife.
Note: Do not pull or stretch the wallpaper during installation. Work from the top and allow the material to fall naturally. Take extra care to avoid scratching the printed surface.
Joining wallpaper panels

When installing multiple panels, position them edge to edge, as there is no overlap. Adjust each panel until the pattern aligns perfectly, then smooth it into place.
If the pattern does not align on the first attempt, gently lift the panel and reposition it as needed to ensure the graphic elements match correctly.
Remove any air bubbles and excess adhesive.
Repeat until complete

Continue the previous steps until all panels are installed.
Allow the wallpaper to dry naturally at room temperature. If there is a heat source, such as a radiator, on the same wall, switch it off for the first 24 hours to reduce the risk of shrinkage.

Wall preparation

All wallpapers are easy to install (some more than others) and are designed to last. However, proper wall preparation is essential to ensure you enjoy your Prestige Wallpapersproducts for many years to come, while also making future removal easier.

How to prepare the wall

Proper preparation is essential to ensure your wallpaper adheres correctly and lasts for many years.

Painted surface

Wash with dish soap and water, or similar, and rinse with water.
Remove any loose paint. If there are large holes, fill them and let dry before sanding the surface until it is smooth.
Previously wallpapered surface

All loose wallpaper should be removed. Some wallpapers arepeelable, meaning the first layer can be removed. If the first layer isn’t peelable, you need to plaster the whole wall and sand. For more guidance on how to remove old wallpaper.
Concrete and plastered surfaces

Spackle any holes or rough areas and joints. Plaster the whole wall, and when the spackle is dry, sand, smooth, and seal the wall with primer to ensure a successful result. This means you paste the wall with wallpaper paste and let it dry before you start wallpapering
Plasterboard, chipboard and wood fibreboards

Spackle any nail and screw holes. The joints should be filled with spackle and jointing tape. Sand and smooth out and seal the wall with primer/sealer. Chipboards should be painted with primer/sealer before wallpapering to ensure the joints don't move.
Painted fibreglass fabric

Wash the surface with dish soap and water or similar and rinse with water. Plastering the whole wall and let the spackle dry. Sand, smooth, and seal the wall with primer/sealer.

Made-to-measure wallpaper

All our wallpapers are made in-house using our own techniques and carefully treated to ensure long-lasting quality when properly cared for. We are committed to delivering high-quality wallpapers made with attention to detail.

Standard wall

Measure the full width and height of the surface you want to cover at the highest and widest point. Don't include edge boards. Double-check that you have the exact measurements.
When placing your order, add 2-4 inches / 5-10 cm to your measurements.
Multiple walls

If you want your wallpaper or mural to continuously flow across and cover multiple adjacent walls, handle it as if it was one wall only. Simply combine the width of each wall and submit it as a single wall when ordering.

NOTE: Do not divide the order into separate orders for each wall.
Wall with door or window

If you have a door, window, or any other obstacle on your wall – ignore it and measure the full width and height of the room. The area for the obstacle will be cut out during installation.

Stairs
Not all stairs look the same, but the general rule when measuring for a wall mural along stairs is not to measure the actual wall area (wall height x length of stairs), but to follow the guide below.
1. HEIGHT. Measure the vertical drop from the highest point (at the ceiling at the top of the stairs) all the way down to the lowest point (at the floor at the bottom of the stairs).
2. WIDTH. Measure the horizontal width of the stairs (not to be confused with the diagonal length of the stairs). See image for clarification.
NOTE: Your measurements should form a rectangle. The excess (which can be a lot when using a wall mural along stairs) will be cut away during installation, so take this into consideration when choosing your design.
NOTE: If you want to hang a repeat pattern, you only need to measure the height and width of the wall area, but you need to add extra height to compensate for the pattern repeat which can differ from design to design – contact support@prestigewallpapers with your chosen design to get the pattern repeat.

CANVAS
The Prestige Wallpapers® TEX canvas wallpaper is treated with bio-prufm - it does not allow mold to form over time. Prestige Wallpapers® materials are waterproof. They are impermeable and can be cleaned with water. The surface of the material is matte and does not generate reflections.

AQUA FIBER SYSTEM
Aqua Fiber System is a wallpaper for humid environments, such as bathrooms, fitness centers and wellness centers, which combines, in a single system, the waterproof properties of liquid membranes with the decorative wall characteristics of Prestige Wallpapers.

AQUA FIBER SYSTEM is a decorative wall system that prevents water leaks to the substrate below, offering a complete finish for bathrooms and showers. It is made of special ultra-thin fiberglass fibers, obtained through fusion at a temperature of 1200 °C. The fibers obtained this way maintain the chemical and physical properties of glass, even in woven form. It has a textured relief and is fire-resistant.
ECO TERRA
ECO TERRA is the perfect choice for those who want a personalized eco-friendly wallpaper, without compromising on quality. Made on a 100% PVC-free non-woven support, with FSC® certified base paper, this material combines a fine, slightly fibrous texture with durability tested according to the strictest European standards.

Add 10 cm of wastage
We recommend checking “Wastage +10 cm”. This automatically adds 10 cm (4 inches) to both the width and height to allow for trimming and easy adjustments during installation.
Set the starting position
Drag the wallpaper preview to choose where you want the first panel to start. You can also flip the wallpaper if needed.
Receive your installation PDF
